Confederate general (1832–1910) who participated in every battle of the Army of Tennessee from the Battle of Shiloh to the Battle of Bentonville. Fountain pen signature, “Geo. D. Johnston, Brig Genl C.S.A., Comdg Walthall's Division,” on an off-white 3.5 x 2 card. In fine condition, with a staple hole to top edge and a bit of scattered light toning.
